Fran's journey into photography began as a self-taught enthusiast, collaborating with independent music media. Later, she pursued formal education in Photojournalism, graduating with high honors at ALPES Escuela de Imagen y Comunicación in Santiago, Chile.
Her creative focus spans three main areas: First, her personal work delves into the poetic realm of imagery, exploring internal and social narratives. While primarily rooted in photography, she has ventured into new mediums like video and collage, intertwining them with the written word.
Another facet of her artistry revolves around portraiture, where she intricately delves into femininity to capture emotions and moods, crafting what she terms as the "Imaginary Portrait." Experimenting with textures and brushes, she imbues her work with a painterly and experimental aesthetic.
Moreover, boasting a decade of experience, Fran specializes in music photography, having captured numerous artists and bands from Chile and abroad.
Her photographic exhibitions have graced Chile, Germany, and Italy, while her work has been featured in publications like LensCulture, Photovogue, and Letargo. Additionally, her video poetry has been screened in festivals such as the Helios Sunpoetry FilmFestival in Mexico, Cadence Video Poetry Festival in the USA, and the International Art Film Festival in the UK.
Notably, she was a Finalist of LensCulture Black&White 2018 and participated in the Associazione Ottovolante Residency program 2018 in Italy.
